    Weichao Chi is an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at Northeastern University, serving as the Deputy Director of the Mechanics Department and a council member of the Liaoning Mechanics Society. His research focuses on active vibration isolation and damping of spacecraft structures. He graduated from the Institution of Space Dynamics and Control at Harbin Institute of Technology's School of Astronautics. From December 2018 to December 2019, he was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Merced.


    He has led several research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, sub-tasks of the National Key Research and Development Program, and projects funded by the Ministry of Education's basic scientific research expenses. He has published numerous academic papers in journals such as "APPLIED MATHEMATICS AND MECHANICS" and has been granted two national invention patents. He has delivered invited presentations at the 8th International Conference on Vibration Engineering and the 18th Symposium on Modern Mathematics and Mechanics.


    He teaches courses including "Theoretical Mechanics," "Material Mechanics," "Engineering Mechanics," and "Advanced Experimental Mechanics." He has co-authored textbooks such as "Theoretical Mechanics" and "Engineering Mechanics Exercises and Solutions." He also leads the international version of the "Theoretical Mechanics: Statics" (pure English) MOOC. He has received the third prize in the Liaoning Province Higher Education Teaching Competition.
