Environmental Soil Process and Ecological Responses

Ø  Enhanced Rock Weathering (2023~Present)

Ÿ   Evaluate weathering rates and inorganic carbon sequestration efficiency of silicates in soil;

Ÿ   Assess ERW impact on soil organic carbon pools, microbial community structure, and plant physiology;

Ÿ   Developed simulation models integrating HYDRUS & PHREEQC for ERW assessment.

Ø  Colloids and Contaminant Transport (2017~Present)

Ÿ   Investigated heavy metal and organic pollutant transport in soil and groundwater systems;

Ÿ   Studied nanoplastics and microplastics as pollutant carriers and their impact on PPCPs transport;

Ÿ   Applied HYDRUS and PHREEQC for modeling contaminant migration pathways;

Ø  Site Contamination and Remediation (2016~Present)

Ÿ   Designed and optimized solidification/stabilization techniques for heavy metal-contaminated soils;

Ÿ   Developed advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) catalyzed by metallurgical slags;

Ÿ   Provided technical solutions for contaminated site management, improving remediation efficiency.

Ø  Ozone Pollution Ecology (2013~2023)

Ÿ   Investigated the effects of elevated O3 on soil C and N dynamics in croplands;

Ÿ   Developed a phytotoxic ozone dose model for ecological risk assessment;

Ÿ   Evaluated soil greenhouse gas (N2O, CO2, CH4) and reactive nitrogen gas (HONO, NO, NO2) emissions under elevated O3 conditions.
