Profile

Yuanwei Jing received the B.S. degree in mathematics from Liaoning University, Shenyang, China, in 1981, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in automatic control theory and applications from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1984 and 1988, respectively. 

He was a Visiting Scholar with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, SS Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, in 1996. From 1998 to 1999, he was a Senior Visiting Scholar with the Computer Science Telecommunication Program of University Missouri-Kansas City, Kansas City, MO, USA. He served as a Vice-Chair of IFAC TC 9.3 on Developing Countries, which is working under IFAC Coordination Committee (CC) 9 on Social Systems, from 2002 to 2005. He is currently with the College of Information Science and Engineering, Northeastern University. His current research interests include nonlinear control systems, complex control systems, and control problems in modern communication network systems.

Dr. Jing was a recipient of the 2nd Prize of State Technological Invention Award of China, the 1st Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award, and the 2nd Prize of Zhengzhou Science and Technology Development Awarded.
