Professor Zhang began her studying in Northeastern University (NEU) as an undergraduate from Aug. 1988. After she got her bachelor in 1992 and master degree in March 1995 respectively, she began her career as a teaching in NEU. From Sept. 1999 to Sept. 2002, professor Zhang worked as a senior software engineer in an American software company located in Singapore. She joined Software College as the first full-time teacher in Sept. 2002.
Professor Zhang has research and project experience in many areas, such as big data, mobile social cloud, cloud computing, Software Engineering, smart city, smart community, eCommerce, eOffice, Enterprise Resource Planning, web development, Android/iOS development, and software architecture. She has led a team to complete varied software systems/projects, including intelligent home system, intelligent community system, virtual community system, biometric features recognition system, university teachers evaluation system, and so on. Her customers cover enterprise, university, government, army and so on. Based on her research and project, she has published more than 50 papers indexed by SCI, EI, and ISTP for more than 30 times.
Rich experience both at home and overseas benefits Professor Zhang's teaching and supervising. Professor Zhang has supervised more than 30 postgraduates, including three foreign postgraduates. She also helps another professor to supervise one foreign PHD student.
She has been in charge of courses Software Engineering, Advanced Java Programming for postgraduates, Data Structure, and so on. Her lectures are in pure English, very welcome by the students. She has won a lot of honor and awards for her excellent lecturing and teaching from both Liaoning Province Education Department and NEU.
Professor Zhang has personal experience of both overseas higher education and software industry. She has her own understanding and opinions about higher education. She understands the foreign advanced education concepts, and respects each student's character. She is good at directing students to grow according to their individual interests and characteristics.
