Bio

WANG Guoren received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1988, 1991, and 1996, respectively. He was with the Department of Computer Science, Northeastern University, as an Assistant Professor from March 1991 to March 1996 and an Associate Professor from Aprial 1996 to March 1999. He is currently a Full Professor with the School of Information Science and Engineering, Northeastern University. His research interests include uncertain data management, data-intensive computing, visual media data management and alalysis, distributed query processing and optimization techniques, and bioinformatics. He has published more than 100 research papers in international conference proceedings and journals.
