Gaochang Wu is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Synthetical Automation for Process Industries (SAPI), Northeastern University. He is also a recipient of the Youth Talents Support Project by the China Association for Science and Technology. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation at Northeastern University in 2013 and 2015, respectively, and his Ph.D. from the School of Information Science and Engineering at Northeastern University in 2020. He has published over 30 papers in international journals and conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, CVPR, and ICCV, with one paper selected as an ESI Highly Cited Paper. He serves as a reviewer for more than 30 international journals and conferences, including IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TNNLS, SIGGRAPH, CVPR, and ICCV, and participated in organizing the CVPR 2023 Workshop (Light Fields for Computer Vision).
His main research interests include multimodal perception and recognition, light field imaging and processing, and computer vision in industrial scenarios. He also works on transfer learning, domain adaptation, industrial applications of foundation vision models, and integrated perception-recognition-decision-control systems. Our team comprises 9 Master's students and 8 Ph.D. students. We welcome students interested in or currently working in these areas to apply!
