BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Dr. Ruiyun Yu is currently an associate professor, Ph. D. supervisor and vice dean of the Software College of Northeastern University, China. He received his Ph. D. and M.S. degree both in computer science in 2004 and 2009, respectively. He is a recipient of the national scholarship awarded by the China Scholarship Council in 2005. From September 2006 to October 2007, he worked as a visiting scholar in the Center for Research in Wireless Mobility and Networking at the University of Texas at Arlington, US.

His research interests include crowd sensing and computing, mobile big data analytics, and mixed reality.

He has been leading 9 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation Committee of China, the Ministry of Education of China, and Liaoning Province government, etc. He also has been involved in 7 projects as a Co-PI or participant. He has published more than 40 papers on high-quality journals and conferences, including Pervasive and Mobile Computing, Chinese Journal of Computer, MSN, ICDCN, etc. He is now a member of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, IEEE Computer Society, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and China Computer Federation (CCF). He is also a committee member of the WSN Committee of CCF, and the Shenyang Committee of Industrialization and Informationization.
