Song Qingyang, Ph.D., Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor, is a recipient of the New Century Excellent Talents award from the Ministry of Education. He graduated with a degree in Communications Engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia.
She serves as an Area/Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology . She is also an International Assessor for the Australian Research Council (ARC) and a Technical Program Committee (TPC) Member for several international conferences. In 2021, She was named a Top Editor by the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS).
Currently, She is a member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE VTS, Chair of the IEEE VTS Fellowship and Scholarship Committee, an IEEE VTS Distinguished Lecturer, and an IEEE Senior Member.
Her main research area is mobile networks, with a focus on innovative research in heterogeneous edge intelligent networks, cooperative communications, connected and autonomous vehicles systems, and network resource management. As a project leader, she has led more than 10 projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) (such as a major research program cultivation project and general projects), a sub-project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Industrial Foundation Reconstruction and High-Quality Manufacturing Development special project, a sub-project of a national key project, and a Ph.D. program foundation from the Ministry of Education.
She has published or had accepted more than 120 high-level academic papers in top-tier journals and flagship international conferences in the field of wireless communications, such as IEEE Wireless Communications and IEEE Transactions. Her work is considered a representative contribution to improving energy efficiency, spectrum efficiency, quality of service, and user experience in the field of network resource management.
She has been granted more than 10 national invention patents and holds 3 software copyrights. She has also received two First Prizes for Natural Science Academic Achievements from Liaoning Province and two Outstanding Master's Thesis Advisor awards from Liaoning Province. She has published two professional books.
