Profile
Yang Guanghong, a distinguished professor and the dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering at Northeastern University, is the head of an innovative group funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is an IEEE Fellow, a fellow of the International Academy of Systems and Cybernetics (IASCYS), a member of the Chinese Association of Automation, and a highly cited researcher according to Elsevier (since 2014). Currently, he serves as the editor-in-chief of both "Control and Decision" and the "Journal of Control and Decision," the general chair of the Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC) since 2012, and the director of the Information Physics System Control and Decision Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation. Additionally, he is on the editorial boards of five international academic journals and chairs the Harbin branch of the IEEE Control Systems Society. His research focuses on fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control, system security, and analysis and control of cyber-physical systems. He has authored three academic monographs, published over 500 SCI journal papers, and has over 35,000 citations on Google Scholar. He has been awarded the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award in 2019 (as the fourth contributor), one Second Prize of the Natural Science Award from the Ministry of Education in 2011 (as the first contributor), the First Prize of the Natural Science Award of Liaoning Province in 2021 (as the first contributor), and the First Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Association of Automation in 2023 (as the first contributor). He has led numerous national-level projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Innovative Research Group Project, key international cooperation projects, key joint fund projects, and key special projects of the National Key Research and Development Program "Strategic International Innovation Cooperation."
