- Abstract:Based on the behavioral observation method, this paper investigates, categorizes and quantifies the spatio-temporal characteristics of recreational behavior of the elderly at all seasons in Bainiao Park in Shenyang. According to the climatic conditions of all seasons, it summarizes the stability of participation and continuation and the number of participants, and identifies the characteristics of reliance of activities on the site and facilities. On this basis, it proposes strategies of spatial optimization of open urban parks in North China.
