Tianhan Gao was born at 1978, doctor, Ph.D. supervisor, professor of Northeastern University, director of interactive media and computing technology institute (IMCT), member of the international school working committee. Tianhan Gao received the BE in Computer Science &Technology, the ME and the PhD in Computer Application Technology, from Northeastern University, China, in 1999, 2001, 2006, respectively. He joined Northeastern University in April 2006 as a lecturer of Software College. He obtained an early promotion to an associate professor in January 2010 and the Ph.D. supervisor in May 2016. He has been a visiting scholar at department of Computer Science, Purdue, from February 2011 to February 2012. He is the author or co-author of more than 60 research publications. His primary research interests are cyber security, ubiquitous computing, next generation network security, as well as virtual/augmented reality.
Tianhan Gao served as the leader or executive leader of National Science and Technology Major Project, the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, the Natural Science Foundation of Liaoning Province, Postdoctoral Science Foundation of Liaoning Province, Science and Technology Project of Liaoning Provincial Communications Department, Shenyang Science and Technology Project, Shenyang Talent Resource Development Project. Tianhan Gao has published more than 60 research papers on international journal and proceedings of international conference, applied 20 invention patents and 9 software copyright, published 1 academic monograph. He also controlled many projects in the field of virtual education, virtual campus, as well as virtual tourism.
